About A-Level - Physical Education
Physical Education is a rapidly expanding area throughout the UK and the A Level is a fascinating and challenging subject where students will work in a supportive atmosphere. This is a course designed for students who have a genuine interest in sporting activities. The course aims to provide a knowledge of principles underlying sport and physical education through classroom study and practical work, backed up by lots of enrichment activities in sports.
Students can progress to university to study a variety of courses, including sport science, sport studies, leisure management, teaching, sports therapy, physiotherapy plus many more. For those wishing to study physiotherapy, subject choice should be considered carefully and further advice sought. Other areas include police and fire services, armed forces, and sports industry and development.
