A-Level - Art - Fashion and Textiles

Students will gain knowledge, skills, and enjoyment from learning the basic elements of art and design, and from improving their skills in sewing, embroidery, felting, weaving, painting, printing, image manipulation, and digital photography. Students will also learn how to progress their studies from initial ideas through to final outcomes and how to present those outcomes to achieve their maximum visual impact. This course places a strong emphasis on learning how other artists create images as well as on contemporary techniques and materials. Through investigation, exploration and manipulation of fibers, students will create their own body of work.
