Integrated Masters - Master of Engineering - Mechanical Engineering (H307) (Sandwich Year)

This accredited course provides individuals with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience necessary to become work-ready mechanical engineers. They will acquire and apply knowledge from lectures and tutorials, while also developing practical abilities in design, computing, and modeling through hands-on projects and design classes.

Participants will have the opportunity to select from a variety of authentic, real-world engineering problems and industry-focused scenarios to work on individually or in collaboration with student engineers from different disciplines. Group work will simulate the dynamics of an engineering team and aid in the development of professional skills such as teamwork and communication. The open access makerspace serves as a space for designing, creating, and collaborating.

There will be a chance for individuals to undertake a salaried placement in a location of their choice, including outside of the UK. This placement offers valuable exposure to a professional working environment and the opportunity to apply the acquired skills. Previous students have completed placements at prestigious organizations such as Rolls-Royce, Network Rail, Siemens, General Electric, and Bosch.

The MEng degree program provides an avenue for individuals to expand and enhance their knowledge in mechanical engineering. They will benefit from advanced learning in design and management, as well as engage in multidisciplinary engineering design projects.
