Foundation leading to Business and Management

The foundation year in management serves as an additional year of study at the beginning of a university degree. Upon successful completion, students gain access to the first year of a variety of undergraduate programmes offered by Cardiff School of Management, Cardiff School of Sport & Health Sciences, and Cardiff School of Technologies.

Designed to prepare students for the remainder of their academic journey, the foundation year helps build essential skills, expand subject knowledge, and boost confidence.

This pathway is particularly suitable for individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those who are uncertain about which subject to specialise in, those lacking the required subject combinations for direct entry, those who do not meet the standard entry requirements, or those returning to education after a break.
