Master of Science - Cybersecurity Technology

Cybersecurity has become a critical component of every aspect of modern life, from protecting personal information to safeguarding national security. The course offers a valuable opportunity to enhance students' cyber awareness skills and cultivate interdisciplinary and technical proficiencies, enabling them to effectively counteract cyber-attacks. Students will learn how to proactively detect, mitigate, and fortify defences to ensure compliance with cybersecurity regulations. Students will develop their learning on current cybersecurity practices, cryptographic techniques, political security, artificial intelligence security, network security and the use of information management systems for security. The MSc Cybersecurity Technology with placement option will provide students with the opportunity to put these skills into practice, giving them the opportunity to engage in work-related experience to complement their studies.

Career opportunities include cybersecurity analysts or engineers, security consultants, and forensic analysts, while some cybersecurity experts choose to work independently as freelance consultants, offering their expertise to multiple clients on a project basis.
