Bachelor of Arts - Art, Media, and Design - Art and Visual Culture

The Bachelor of Arts in Art, Media, and Design major offers students an engaged, creative and professional approach to arts at the intersection of traditional art practices and digital media. This major has two options, Art and Visual Culture (AVC) and Digital and Media Arts (DAMA) comprising synergistic studio and theory courses in media design, film and video, drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, installation art and photography.

Students combine these media fields with courses in community-based practice, cultural studies, traditional and new media art history and theory as well as service learning. The Bachelor of Arts in Art, Media, and Design provides an innovative curriculum with flexible coursework that meet their unique artistic and professional goals. They work actively alongside interdisciplinary, internationally recognized, award-winning faculty and engage in projects in and outside of the classroom/studio with a strong emphasis on community-engaged art practice.
