About Bachelor of Art - Sociology - Deviance and Crime - Transfer Opportunity in Year 2
The Bachelor of Arts in Sociology is part of a strong program of social science studies that fosters critical thinking and analytical abilities, as well as develops the writing and communication skills that prepare students for a diverse and increasingly global job market. Through honing an understanding of and facility with both quantitative and qualitative methods of inquiry, the sociology major acquires a toolkit for problem-solving. Majoring in Sociology prepares students for a wide range of occupations, including social work, market research and statistical analysis, education, criminal justice, business and management, graduate school, and community and social services, among others.
The Sociology of Deviance and Crime concentration provides students a deeper understanding of the causes of deviance and crime from a sociological perspective, focusing particularly on how norms and values construct human attitudes, behaviors and conditions as deviant and/or criminal. It also examines social forces regulating deviance and crime.
Student have 3 options to choose from during the 4 year bachelor degree
Option 1: After completing Year 1, students can choose to stay at California State University and complete the remaining 3 years at the same campus. This is an ideal option if a student would prefer to stay on the same campus for the whole of your degree, is seeking a flexible pathway to a reputable public university degree, want the most cost-effective degree, and is looking for a less research-based university.
Option 2: After completing Year 1, student have the option to choose from 23 campuses for degree transfer.
Option 3: After 2 years at Cal State Fullerton, students can transfer to complete their degree at the University of California or another Top 100 US university.
King's expert university advisors will help students develop their student profile, making the transfer process straightforward. Upon successful transfer to a university, students will complete their degree at said university.
