3-Term Pathway - Foundation Certificate for Media and Communications - Continue to Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Medical Science

For entry to the 1st year of an undergraduate degree at Bournemouth University. Students' course length is determined mainly by their English language level (UKVI IELTS score or accepted equivalent). All students take a set of common or similar modules to gain key skills for university. If the course is longer than 2 terms, students will take extra modules focusing on one or more of English language, academic skills and basic subject knowledge.

Medical Science focuses on the cutting-edge science that underpins modern medicine, fostering new discoveries and technologies which improve healthcare. Students will learn how humans bodies work, how disease is treated and how new technology is evolving in this field. On this course students will be taught by a range of staff with relevant expertise and knowledge appropriate to the content of the unit. This will include senior academic staff, qualified professional practitioners, demonstrators, technicians and research students. Students will also benefit from regular guest lectures from industry.
