3-Term Pathway - Foundation Certificate for Computing - Continue to Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Psychology

For entry to the 1st year of an undergraduate degree at Bournemouth University. Students' course length is determined mainly by their English language level (UKVI IELTS score or accepted equivalent). All students take a set of common or similar modules to gain key skills for university. If the course is longer than 2 terms, students will take extra modules focusing on one or more of English language, academic skills and basic subject knowledge.

Through research-inspired teaching students will cover a range of subjects including social, biological, developmental and cognitive psychology, and specialist topics, such as forensic, clinical, cyber, consumer, educational psychology, and neuropsychology. This course is accredited by the British Psychological Society, so when students graduate with at least a Second Class Honours, students are eligible for Graduate Basis for Chartership, the first step towards becoming a Chartered Psychologist. On this course, students will be taught by staff with relevant expertise and knowledge appropriate to the content of the unit. This could include senior academic staff, qualified professional practitioners, and research students, many of whom are actively engaged in research and/or professional practice which is integrated into the teaching of this course.
