3.5-Term Pathway - International Year One in Media and Communications - Continue to Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Communication and Media

For entry to the 1st year of an undergraduate degree at Bournemouth University. Students' course length is determined mainly by their English language level (UKVI IELTS score or accepted equivalent). All students take a set of common or similar modules to gain key skills for university. If the course is longer than 2 terms, students will take extra modules focusing on one or more of English language, academic skills and basic subject knowledge.

Communication and media affects everything from identities on social media to global challenges such as 'fake news', political division, and climate change. Students will gain the expertise to understand, analyse, and create effective communication strategies. On this course students will usually be taught by a range of staff with relevant expertise and knowledge appropriate to the content of the unit. This will include senior academic staff, qualified professional practitioners and research students. Students will also benefit from regular guest lectures from industry.
