2.5-Term Pathway - Foundation Certificate for Science - Continue to Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Nutrition

For entry to the 1st year of an undergraduate degree at Bournemouth University. Students' course length is determined mainly by their English language level (UKVI IELTS score or accepted equivalent). All students take a set of common or similar modules to gain key skills for university. If the course is longer than 2 terms, students will take extra modules focusing on one or more of English language, academic skills and basic subject knowledge.

Students discover the significance behind the relationship between diet and health. As more and more health issues are linked to diet, the field of nutrition has grown in importance, causing a substantial rise in related career opportunities. The course is accredited by the Association for Nutrition, so students will be eligible to register as a Registered Associate Nutritionist when they graduate. Bringing depth and real-life insight into students' teaching, the staff are involved in leading research contributing to societal change today. This includes projects to improve nutritional health and reduce malnutrition in older people and work to transform nutritional care for people with dementia in care homes.
