Masters of Science - Kinesiology (STEM)

The Master of Kinesiology degree focuses in the areas of sport and exercise science, strength and conditioning, and therapeutic exercise. The Master of Science degree in Kinesiology consists of 31 credit hours.

Upon graduation, a student majoring in Kinesiology should be able to:

• Kinesiology Knowledge: Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of sport and exercise science including important concepts and theories, relationships, and perspectives, as well as the ability to recall this knowledge in the future.
• Kinesiology Applications: Learn how to use knowledge by developing particular skills, managing complex projects, and developing the ability to engage in various kinds of thinking (i.e., critical, practical, and creative).
• Kinesiology Integration: Make connections and relate kinesiology to other areas of life.
• Multimedia Communication: Employ a multimedia approach to communication, collaboration, and presentation of scholarly work.
