Bachelor of Science in Nursing - Nursing - Pre-Licensure

The School of Nursing provides two pathways to earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. The B.S. in Nursing is the traditional nursing program for students who would like to get their nursing degree.

Regardless of the program, Avila’s experienced faculty are there to help ensure students are equipped with the skills they need to start a fulfilling career as a nurse. Students will work in simulation lab, receive personalized instruction, and take advantage of Avila’s top-ranking program.

The Avila nursing graduate is well prepared to begin a successful nursing career in a variety of settings and to contribute to nursing membership and activity in professional nursing organizations.

Avila nursing graduates have earned the following positions of nursing leadership:

• Directors of agencies including home health and long-term care facilities.
• Hospital administrator of a rural community hospital.
• Entrepreneur in the field of nurse executive placement.
• Leadership roles in the American Nurses’ Association.
• Executive Director of a national research project to enhance underprivileged family well-being.
• Nursing program directors and faculty.
