The Bachelor of Science program in sports science and performance programming with a concentration in strength and conditioning has been carefully developed to align with the new eligibility competencies necessary for graduates to sit for the exam to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist® with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Beginning in 2030, only graduates from accredited strength and conditioning programs will be eligible to sit for certification, which is required for many careers in the sports performance industry.
Through this program, students:
- design workouts that push the body to its limits and help others hit new performance goals
- engage in hands-on practical experiences in performance assessment and programming using advanced technologies and evidence-based practices
- gain the skills needed to inspire and assist the next generation of athletes and help them continue their athletic journey on the coaching side
- learn how to prepare military and other frontline tactical professionals to perform at their peak when the stakes are higher than in any game
