Program Description

This pathway in Engineering, Computing, and Technology will target student's technical and mathematical skills needed to create new technologies and structures.

Students in these disciplines will find it necessary to work confidently in multi-disciplinary teams throughout their careers. A foundation in Engineering, Computing and Technology is structured around projects working with others from different degree programmes, enabling students to begin to develop this extremely important and transferable skill.

Whether students want to work in software engineering, programming, application development, computer design, graphics, gaming or artificial intelligence, studying the BEng (Hons) Computer Science degree will give them the knowledge and skills to succeed.

As a computing student at ARU, students will learn how to work in a team, think independently, and solve problems creatively in state-of-the-art computing labs.

The specialist facilities include a Cisco lab and a virtual Netlab. They're the perfect places to develop practical skills and gain experience working with industry-standard tools, such as Microsoft Imagine Premium and VMware IT Academy. This course encourages collaboration, so students will also learn through activities with their peers, and lectures and seminars from industry experts.
