About Bachelor of Arts or Science - Business Administration
As a business major at Alma College, students will take core courses in accounting, finance, management, marketing, and economics. Then, they’ll choose one of four concentrations: business analytics, environmental responsibility, leadership and management and sports management.
Through their concentration, students will focus on in-demand areas in today’s job market, from quantitative skills to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy or organizational management.
They'll also take at least two classes focused on business analytics and data management. There, they'll build fluency in software like Microsoft Excel and the Oracle SQL suite — tools needed to be successful in any business career.
Alma guarantees every business major an internship. With support from the Center for Student Opportunity, students will gain on-the-job experience in a business-related placement.
Students graduate with a competitive resume, practical experience in business administration and management and a readymade network. Graduates of Alma’s business program have gone on to careers in banking, finance, data analytics, law and management.
