About Extended Accelerator - Bachelor of Arts - History
The Extended Accelerator Program (EAP) is a three-semester program for students seeking an immersive English-learning experience. The program gives students firsthand practical and cultural understanding of the Adelphi campus and New York area through its contextual curriculum. Students may enter the program in the spring, summer or fall. Upon completion of the program, students progress into the second year of their undergraduate education with a full year’s worth of academic credits.
The history curriculum is a sequence of courses of increasing sophistication designed to transmit historical knowledge and hold it up to scrutiny; sharpen conceptual abilities; promote understanding of process and change; and build proficiency in research. Using both traditional and innovative techniques of historical investigation, students will work toward a history degree and analyze and reflect on the past, thereby gaining a rich new perspective on the present.
