About Extended Accelerator - Bachelor of Arts - Communications - Journalism and Public Relations
The Extended Accelerator Program (EAP) is a three-semester program for students seeking an immersive English-learning experience. The program gives students firsthand practical and cultural understanding of the Adelphi campus and New York area through its contextual curriculum. Students may enter the program in the spring, summer or fall. Upon completion of the program, students progress into the second year of their undergraduate education with a full year’s worth of academic credits.
Adelphi’s journalism and public relations concentration in the B.A. in Communications prepares students for a wide variety of careers in the evolving field of media communication. Using state-of-the-art technology and learning from experienced faculty, they will acquire the multimedia skills journalists and public relations professionals are expected to have in today’s converged newsrooms and PR firms.
