This programme is focused on contemporary human resource management (HRM) practice. It's designed to ensure students develop the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to deal effectively, systematically and creatively with issues around people management. HRM is a globally important functional area of all organisations.
The programme covers a wide range of HRM strategies, policies and procedures that organisations use to manage employees in both local and global contexts. Students will also develop an understanding of the differences between HRM practices and employment systems of different countries and multinational organisations, and how they are influenced by economic, political and social factors.
Students will share experiences with peers from all over the world, through workshops and activities, to develop professional and strategic thinking skills.
During the final phase of the programme, students will be able to self-select a project relating to international HRM. This can be used to highlight their acquired skillset to potential employers.
