Undergraduate International Excellence Scholarship
Overview
The Undergraduate International Excellence Scholarships at Cardiff University offer £10,000 awards to outstanding international students starting eligible undergraduate programmes in autumn 2026. Eligibility Criteria

Exclusions
The scholarship is not available for undergraduate programmes in the Schools of Dentistry, Medicine, and Healthcare, including but not limited to:
- Dental Hygiene (DipHE), Dental Surgery (BDS), Dental Therapy and Dental Hygiene (BSc)
- Medicine (MBBCh) and Medicine: Graduate Entry (MBBCh)
- Nursing degrees (Adult, Child, Mental Health)
- Diagnostic Radiography and Imaging (BSc)
- Midwifery (BMid), Occupational Therapy (BSc), Physiotherapy (BSc), Radiotherapy and Oncology (BSc)
Application Process
- Eligible students holding an offer will be invited by email to complete an application form
- Applicants must answer a 300-word question on their specific achievements or evidence supporting their scholarship application
- Applications must be submitted by 3 April 2026 at 23:59 (UK time)

- Conditional offer holders must confirm Cardiff University as their firm choice by the UCAS deadline and meet all offer conditions, including English language requirements, by 31 August 2026
- Unconditional offer holders must confirm Cardiff University as their firm choice by their UCAS deadline and have met the original admissions criteria
Scholarship Value and Award Details
- The scholarship provides a £10,000 tuition fee waiver/discount
- No cash alternative is available
- The award cannot be used to replace any required deposit
- The scholarship applies only to full-time students based on the Cardiff campus starting in autumn 2026
- The award is not transferable to other years of entry
