Eligibility and Application Requirements

• A curriculum vitae (CV)
• Your university entrance qualification
• A written letter of motivation (maximum 1 DIN A4 page) explaining your reasons for starting anew and your academic or career goals. This letter helps the selection committee understand why you deserve support.

Application Process and Deadlines

• Applications must be submitted within a full calendar month (e.g., from January 1 to January 31) to be considered for that month.
• You can apply for the scholarship and begin the application process for your desired degree program simultaneously.
• It is important to start your studies only after receiving feedback on your scholarship application.
• You will be notified of acceptance or rejection approximately two weeks after the end of the application month.
• If approved, you must sign your study contract within three months; otherwise, the scholarship offer will expire. The actual start of your studies can be scheduled for a later date.

Important Notes

• You may only apply once for the IU Scholarship for New Beginners.
• Your application is valid only for the month in which you submit your documents and will not be carried over to future months.
• This scholarship is ideal for those who want to pursue a new academic path with financial support and are ready to commit to their studies upon approval.
