About Waring School (Amerigo Education)

Waring School is a small, elite school for students in Grades 6-12. Founded in 1972, the campus is situated on 32 acres in beautiful Beverly, Massachusetts, just a 25-minute drive from Boston.

With only 167 students on campus, Waring creates a family-like community of lifelong learners by providing a world class liberal arts and science curriculum.

As a no-grades school, Waring’s narrative evaluation system encourages rigorous study and self-motivation, as well as helps its graduates get into top universities including Harvard, Yale, Princeton and Columbia.

Why Waring School (Amerigo Education)?

  • Location: Waring School is located in Beverly, Massachusetts - just a 25-minute drive away from Boston. Boston is a hub of world-class universities, business and natural beauty. Also located close to top-ranked universities including MIT (#2), Harvard University (#3), Boston College (#39), Tufts University (#40), Boston University (#43) and Northeastern University (#53).
  • No Grades Learning ApproachAt Waring, teachers write detailed narrative evaluations as opposed to assigning letter grades. Narrative evaluations fully reflect students’ areas of strength and growth. With narrative evaluations, instead of focusing on test prep, Waring students are able to pursue their true passions while capturing the attention of college admissions officers. Their unique files will be put in a separate category for admissions consideration–Waring’s consistent Ivy League school acceptances prove the advantage of this unique grading system.
  • Outstanding College Acceptance ResultsOver 65% of graduates are accepted to Top 50 Universities and Colleges, including Harvard, Princeton, Columbia and Yale.
  • Small Class Sizes With A Family VibeWith 25-30 students in each grade level and an average class size of 10, the Waring community is very tight-knit. Teachers know all students by name and build long-lasting friendships/mentorships.
  • International Travel And Study Tours Included In TuitionStudents participate in a Montreal Trip, French Exchange Program and Junior France Trip according to their grade level. Study abroad programs last around 3 weeks. Waring also has a whole school camping trip each fall, giving the entire community a chance to welcome new students before classes begin.
