Wellington Heights Secondary School is located in the town of Mount Forest, Ontario. Although it may be small in numbers, the staff and student body are very much involved in the communities around them. The Student Council and Athletic Council are very active through sports teams, clubs and fun events that promote the values of Pride, Respect, and Friendship. Events such as Survivor Day, Girls Take Back the Gym, and Winter Olympics showcase Wolverine grit and determination to succeed at whatever students do, and events such as the Terry Fox Run, ME to WE and Warm Winter Wishes demonstrate student commitment to local and global communities.

The school provides varied programs, strategies, and resources to serve all learning styles and needs of the student body. The staff makes it their goal to provide a stimulating and enriching school environment for students, including the provision of numerous extracurricular activities. The library houses over 13,000 resources, including books, netbooks, computers, and e-readers.

• Dual Credit Program: The Dual Credit program provides an opportunity for senior students to attend college to take courses in selected career areas in the College or Apprenticeship Pathway. These certificates, diplomas, or level one apprenticeship programs count on both the secondary school and college transcript. They provide new and varied learning opportunities by exposing students to the college setting, culture and expectations.
• Extracurricular activities: Wellington Heights is pleased to offer students a number of opportunities to get involved outside the classroom. Some of the clubs available include anime, art council, dance committee, improv, and social equity.
