About Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) - Orangeville District Secondary School

Orangeville District Secondary School is located in the beautiful town of Orangeville and is home to about 1,250 students in grades 9 through 12 and offers a full academic, arts, sports and technical studies program. The school has been operating for more than 125 years! The school is a fully composite secondary school. Established since 1884, the school continues to be an important partner in the community of Orangeville.


The school is proud of the success and contributions of its graduates and staff members. The ODSS staff works to ensure that students graduate from high school with all of the skills they need to go on to college or university, or enter the workforce and begin the career of their choice. In choosing from a broad academic curriculum, students can also prepare for university by taking a college-credit course as part of their Orangeville District Secondary School experience. 


English as a Second Language levels D and E are also available for less intensive needs.

  • Extracurricular activities: Orangeville District Secondary School encourages all students to become involved in activities outside the classroom. Some of the clubs offered at ODSS include fishing, diversity, drama, jazz band, gaming, and student senate. Athletic teams include soccer, badminton, volleyball, cross country, golf, field hockey, basketball, hockey, curling, cross country skiing, swimming, rowing, track & field, rugby, and lacrosse.
