About Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) - Women and Gender Studies (Professional Years) (NW)

Social Work is both the art and the science of providing services designed to assist people individually and in relationship to their environment. It is a growing and challenging profession committed to the improvement of the quality of life for individuals, families, communities and society.

Make a difference in people’s lives. UWindsor's social work grads are in high demand and students will find the work meaningful and rewarding. Students will make friends for life in this tight-knit program based in a modern, landmark building just steps from the waterfront. Students will have lots of opportunities for hands-on learning including placements in year 4, joining clubs, and volunteering in the community.

Students set themselves apart with a degree from one of the only combined BSW programs in Social Work and Women’s Studies in North America. UWindsor offers unique opportunities for hands-on learning, bringing students knowledge of equity, diversity, and inclusion into focus. They’ve got clubs, exchange opportunities and practical experience available in the community.

Note: This is for students applying to the Professional Years (years 3 & 4) of the Social Work program. For high school students or students seeking to transfer to years 1 or 2 of the Social Work program, please apply to the Pre-Social Work program (Program code - NWA).
