Students in the Computer Systems Technology – Analysis and Design program at Sheridan College develop essential information systems skills with a focus on analysis and design. During the first four semesters, they gain hands-on experience in programming, web development, database management and networking. In the final year, they explore advanced technical topics while refining their interpersonal abilities, preparing them to excel in the fast-evolving world of information systems.
In the final year, students participate in a capstone project that allows them to address real-world challenges for local clients, making a meaningful contribution to the community. Clients include non-profit organizations, small businesses, charities and local government bodies.
Students in the program have the opportunity to complete up to three co-op work terms, gaining as much as 12 months of valuable industry experience. These co-op placements enable them to expand their professional networks, enhance their technical and analytical skills, and acquire practical workplace experience that supports their future careers.
