Riverside School Board (RSB) - Elementary Schools

The Riverside School Board (RSB) came into being on July 1st, 1998, and is an English-language school board on the South Shore of Montreal, Quebec. Riverside School Board is home to 9,500 students registered in their 19 elementary schools distributed all over the Montérégie territory.

Riverside is the birthplace of French immersion and offers the International Baccalaureate program. RSB places a great deal of emphasis on students' success and their achievements. They have consistently placed among the top five in Quebec. Their long history of innovation in education, focus on bilingualism, and quality of teachers all combine to make Riverside a different school board where learning is an enriching lifetime experience.

• Location: Montérégie is known for its vineyards, orchards, spectacular panoramas, delicious products, as well as the Monteregian Mountains, from which it draws its name.  The region is both urban (second in terms of population) and rural. The Montérégie economy is based on agriculture and the production of goods and services.  Tourism also makes up a significant portion of the economy. The Montérégie region wraps around the island of Montréal in the South West. In terms of climate, the Montérégie area, located in the country’s southern border, is characterized by mild springs, warm summers, pleasantly crisp autumns and invigorating cold winters.
