About Lethbridge School District 51 (LSD51) - Chinook High School
Chinook High School is the newest and largest high school operated by Lethbridge School District No. 51. Chinook High School opened in West Lethbridge in August 2010 and is now home to approximately 1200 grade 9 - 12 students. Chinook's mascot is the Coyote and the school colors are black, gold, and red. The school engages in actively growing intellectually, emotionally, socially, spiritually, and physically.
Why Chinook High School
- Course variety: Besides the general high school academic programs in English, Sciences, Math, and Arts, Chinook also offers University Extension courses over flex time that prepare students to enter the field of post-secondary education.
- Athletics: Students of Chinook High School have opportunities to participate in a wide variety of school athletic teams such as Badminton, Baseball, Basketball, Golf, Curling, and Volleyball.
- Student services: Chinook has a cafeteria called "Coyote Grill", counselling services, learning commons services, and a textbook and test writing centre.
