Northern Collegiate Institute and Vocational School (NCIVS) provides students with an opportunity to achieve their potential and develop as contributing members of society. • English support: Northern Collegiate provides extensive English as a Second Language programming to ensure that all of its students, regardless of English proficiency, can participate in and enrich their learning environment.
• Experiential learning: In addition to regular academic programming, Northern Collegiate offers a number of ways for students to participate in experiential learning, including Co-operative Education, Specialist High Skills Major, the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program, and Dual Credit opportunities.

Sports teams include basketball, football, soccer, cross country, golf, volleyball, tennis, curling, hockey, swimming, wrestling, badminton, rugby, baseball, and track and field.
