Kootenay Lake School District 8 (SD8) - Kootenay River Secondary School

Kootenay River Secondary School is located in the beautiful valley of Creston which is part of the East Kootenay region of British Columbia. The town has a population of approximately 5,000 with the surrounding communities bringing the total to 15,000. PCSS is part of School District #8 (Kootenay Lake) and has approximately 500 students in grades 8 to 12. Kootenay River Secondary School is a safe school with a positive climate that enables students to develop and learn to their potentials.

School District 8 - Kootenay Lake serves a number of individual communities including Crawford Bay, Creston, Kaslo, Meadow Creek, Nelson, Salmo, Slocan, South Slocan, Winlaw, Wynndel, Yahk, and the surrounding rural areas, within a large geographic area consisting of two time zones. Its visionary, creative team focuses on providing the best opportunities it can possibly create on behalf of over 5400 students and their families.
