Golden Hills School Division 75 (GHSD75) - Elementary and High Schools

Golden Hills School Division is unique as it is not located in the international student high traffic areas of Vancouver or Toronto. Located in western Canada in the province of Alberta, Golden Hills is roughly 30 minutes to the east of the city of Calgary, providing a western culture within a multi-generational community of English speaking families, students and schools.

Many of the Golden Hills schools are amongst the best in Alberta and all are located in safe communities where walking to school or riding the school bus is safe, fun and promotes a healthy lifestyle for kids. The Golden Hills International program launched in April 2004 and continues to offer quality learning opportunities, support and encouragement to all international students.

Golden Hills School Division also partners with the Royal Tyrell Museum of Palaeontology, the premiere dinosaur museum in the world, offering educational opportunities and experiences that are not available elsewhere.

• International Student Support: Golden Hills provides significant supports to international students including in-house Accommodations Coordinators who connect and check in on students throughout the year to ensure an easy transition to their new environment, and to support them throughout their stay.
• Activities and Field Trips: Golden Hills offers a number of activities/trips.  These are an important part of the program as students are offered the opportunity to visit places of interest and cultural events.  These contribute to a well rounded program where international students get to experience Canadian hospitality, culture and some of the most beautiful sights in the world! 
• Alberta Curriculum: The outstanding Alberta education curriculum that Golden Hills offers is ranked among the highest in the world.  Students from around the world unite with local Canadian students to engage in high level academic study and a variety of other opportunities in the areas of career and technology studies, the arts and sports.
