James Fowler High School believes that public education is a shared responsibility. With students, families, employees, partners and communities, it works together every day to build positive learning and working environments because when students succeed, communities benefit.  James Fowler High School is proud to offer regular and Advanced Placement (AP) programs with a diverse collection of extra-curricular activities. James Fowler High School strives that each student, in keeping with his or her individual abilities and gifts, will complete high school with a foundation of learning necessary to thrive in life, work, and continued learning. 58 countries and 47 languages are represented by the student body. 

Why James Fowler High School

• Course variety: James Fowler offers Advanced Placement courses in Art, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Social Studies, Comparative Government and Politics, Math, English, and English Literature. Its language courses include Spanish, French, German, and Mandarin. It also offers a full ELL program.
• Facilities: James Fowler High School recently underwent a modernization project, featuring a new student lounge, learning commons, and state of the art shops (automotive, autobody, welding, and building trades). 
• Extracurricular activities: Extracurricular activities allow James Fowler students to pursue passions and interests that fall outside the normal curriculum. Clubs and activities include Girls Culture Club, Model United Nations, Social Justice Club, Volunteer Club, Gay-Straight Alliance Club, Calgary Bridge Foundation Mentorship, YMCA- YMAP Leadership Program, Student Council, Aboriginal Student Council, and Yoga, to name just a few. Sports teams include soccer, volleyball, basketball, swimming, cross- country, track and field, field hockey, football, and badminton.
