Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarships for Postgraduate Students

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be applying for a postgraduate taught Master’s programme at Aberystwyth University.
• Must be an international fee-paying student from one of the eligible countries for Aberystwyth Regional Scholarships.
• Must be self-funding and not receiving any other scholarships, except the International Accommodation Award (IAA).
• Must meet the University’s usual entry requirements.
• Academic achievement requirements based on degree equivalence:
  • Equivalent to a UK First Honours degree: £3,000 tuition fee discount.
  • Equivalent to a UK Upper Second (2:1) or Lower Second (2:2) degree: £2,000 tuition fee discount.

Scholarship Value

• Up to £3,000 discount on tuition fees for Master’s students.
• Can be combined with the International Accommodation Award (IAA) for additional support.

Application and Deadlines

• No separate application is required; eligibility is assessed automatically based on your application to Aberystwyth University.
• Ensure your undergraduate degree classification and country of domicile are clearly stated in your application.
• Deadline to apply for the scholarship is November 15, 2025.
