Rising Scholar Grant

Eligibility Criteria

• Open to international applicants who are citizens of the following countries:
  Argentina, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Mongolia, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Türkiye, Venezuela, Vietnam
• Also available to international students who have been studying in Canada for at least one year
• Must be new bachelor degree students starting their studies at University Canada West in 2026

Award Value and Disbursement

• Bachelor of Commerce: $21,000
• Bachelor of Arts in Business Communications: $21,000
• The grant is disbursed as a tuition credit starting from the first term of enrollment
• Award amount is prorated based on the number of credits required to complete the program
• If transfer credits or Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) credits are granted at admission or during studies, the award amount will be adjusted accordingly

Conditions and Requirements

• Students must commence their program before their offer of admission expires
• Program changes are not permitted after receiving the grant
• All fees not covered by the award must be paid by their respective due dates
• Students must maintain good academic standing throughout their studies
• Full-time enrollment status must be maintained to retain the grant

• This grant is specifically for new bachelor degree students starting in 2026
• Scholarships, bursaries, and awards are subject to change without prior notice
• If the allocated financial support pool is fully utilized before the end of the award program’s validity, the offer may be withdrawn unless an official Letter of Acceptance has already been received
