Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be citizens of countries other than Australia or New Zealand
  • Not hold humanitarian or permanent visas
  • Be full fee-paying (non-sponsored) students
  • Apply for direct entry into eligible courses starting Semester 2 or Summer 2025
  • Commence studies at any Victorian La Trobe campus: Albury-Wodonga, Bendigo, City, Melbourne, Mildura, or Shepparton
  • Meet La Trobe’s English language requirements and all offer letter conditions
  • Obtain an offer letter before scholarship selection (exceptions require approval)
  • Pass the Genuine Student assessment, including financial checks

Selection Criteria

Recipients are selected based on:

  • Outstanding academic performance with a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 80
  • English language proficiency
  • Quality of the written statement submitted with the application

Important Deadlines and Conditions

  • Opening Date: 13 March 2025
  • Closing Date: 8 September 2025
  • The scholarship cannot be deferred to 2026; inability to secure a 2025 student visa may lead to revocation
  • Recipients must maintain full-time enrolment and satisfactory academic progress
  • Participation in International Scholarship Program events during studies is required
