International Graduate Founders’ Scholarships

Scholarship Value and Duration

• Award Amount: $8,500 per year
• Duration: 2 years

Eligibility Criteria

• Open to international graduate students applying to Southern Utah University.
• Applicants typically have a minimum 3.0 GPA demonstrating strong academic merit.
• Students must complete an admissions application by the scholarship deadline to be automatically considered.
• Scholarships may be awarded to students entering the ESL program; however, funds are disbursed only once full-time undergraduate or graduate studies commence.

Application and Consideration

• There is no separate scholarship application; all international admissions applicants are automatically reviewed for eligibility.
• The International Student Scholarship Committee evaluates candidates based on academic merit, citizenship, and financial need.
• Priority consideration deadlines:
  • April 15 for Fall semester admission
  • October 15 for Spring semester admission

Important Notes and Exclusions

• These scholarships cannot be combined with other substantial SUU tuition scholarships.
• Award decisions are competitive and based on multiple factors beyond GPA, including financial need and citizenship status.
