  • East and Southeast Asia Scholarship: Citizens of China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Mongolia, Brunei, Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia, Timor-Leste, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, North Korea, South Korea, or Japan
  • Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan Scholarship: Citizens of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, or Bhutan

Scholarship Value

  • Total award amount: $3,000
  • Disbursed as $1,000 per semester for up to three semesters
  • The first $1,000 is an entrance scholarship awarded in the first semester
  • Remaining $2,000 awarded in subsequent semesters, contingent on maintaining eligibility

Renewal Requirements

To maintain the scholarship for the full duration, recipients must:

  • Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Be enrolled as a full-time student at Avila University Arizona
  • Remain in good academic and institutional standing
  • Have no financial holds on their student account

Important Notes

  • The Global Opportunity Scholarship is available for the 2025 and 2026 intakes only
  • The scholarship will no longer be available starting Spring 2027
