Coyote Beginnings Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria

• Open to first-time freshman undergraduate students applying to the University of South Dakota.
• Award value is determined by high school GPA.
• Transfer students currently enrolled at a US community college or university with an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher are eligible for the International Transfer Scholarship instead.

Scholarship Value

• The Coyote Beginnings Scholarship offers up to $4,000 per year toward the annual tuition fee of $13,299.
• The International Transfer Scholarship awards $3,000 per year for eligible transfer students for the remainder of their undergraduate studies at USD.

Application and Deadlines

• No separate scholarship application is required; eligibility is automatically assessed based on the admissions application.
• To receive full consideration, apply by:
  • June 1 for fall semester intake
  • October 1 for spring semester intake
• Applications submitted after these deadlines will be considered only if funds remain available.
