  • Able to commit 10 hours per week during the semester term

Role and Responsibilities

  • Promote Thompson Rivers University through various social media channels
  • Attend and promote campus events such as Orientations, International Days, Back to School BBQ, and WolfPack games via social media
  • Write blogs on diverse topics for the ourTRU.ca website
  • Produce weekly digital content for TRU World’s social media platforms
  • Engage with followers by responding to comments and inquiries

Award Details

  • Ambassadors are hired for the Fall (August–December), Winter (January–April), and Spring (April–August) terms
  • The award provides a platform to develop leadership and communication skills while gaining valuable experience in digital marketing and community engagement

  • Complete the SMA Application Form
  • Submit a multimedia piece as outlined in the application
  • Applications open two months prior to each term
  • Applications are reviewed the day after the deadline
  • Successful candidates will be invited for an individual interview
  • Hiring decisions are made within a week following the interview
