Tasmanian International Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria

• Open to commencing international students applying for undergraduate degrees, excluding:
  • Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine
  • Bachelor of Dementia Care
  • AMC Seafaring courses
• Available for international students applying for postgraduate coursework degrees, with some course exceptions.
• Applicants must have a minimum qualification equivalent to one year of study prior to commencing their intended program.
• Assessment is based on academic merit from secondary, diploma, or degree-level studies.
• Automatic assessment occurs upon submission of the International Student Application; no separate scholarship application is required.
• Scholarships are awarded for new students only; continuing students are not eligible for reassessment based on academic progress at the University of Tasmania.

Scholarship Value

• 25% reduction in registered tuition fees for the entire duration of the course.

Application Process

• No separate application is necessary; all eligible international applicants are automatically considered when submitting their International Student Application.
• Successful applicants will be notified of their scholarship award in their offer letter, which includes detailed terms and conditions.
• Final academic results must be submitted to confirm scholarship eligibility.

Important Notes

• The scholarship applies only to commencing students and cannot be transferred or reassessed for current students.
• Academic qualifications and grading scales vary internationally, and selection is based on the highest qualification prior to enrollment.
