Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Creative Media Technology

Our BSc Creative Media Technology course will see their using skills found in creative coding, digital imaging art, and digital media. It offers a range of innovative technologies that lie in between the longer established formats and structures of commercial media production (film and TV, animation, web design, and mass market games), and new emerging formats (augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), casual games, interactive animation, projection mapping, immersive experiences, experiential design, and responsive advertising and immersive installation experiences.

The BSc is for those students striving towards careers in the creative industries whose focus is on developing and creating exciting, immersive, and interactive projects. They will be interested in a range of technologies and project outputs; through this course, they will be able to focus on developing new skills with a structured empirical approach to managing exciting technology projects, real-life industry-based assignments, and seeing their work exhibited in public spaces.

They will have the freedom to choose what they want to study – following theirr interests and future career goals. Whether as a group or as an individual, they will be able to explore the art of making videos, creating 3D experiences, digital art, designing apps, AR and VR, or gaming. They get to decide what their want to create and how their want to do it (on approval by the course team).
