Overview
George Brown Polytechnic Funded Scholarships offer valuable financial support for international students enrolled in full-time diploma or degree programs. These scholarships recognize academic excellence and community contribution, providing awards of $5,000 and $1,000 to eligible returning students.
Scholarship Overview
- Number of scholarships: 31 per academic year
- Award amounts:
- Fall competition: 14 scholarships of $5,000 and 17 scholarships of $1,000
- Winter competition: 6 scholarships of $5,000 and 9 scholarships of $1,000
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the George Brown Polytechnic Funded Scholarships, applicants must:
- Be an international student with a valid Study Permit
- Be registered full-time in a 2, 3, or 4-year diploma or degree program at George Brown College
- Have completed at least two consecutive semesters of study with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 prior to the current semester
- Have actively participated in activities contributing to other students, their academic department, or the College community
- Not have previously received a scholarship through the George Brown Polytechnic International Centre
Application Deadlines
- Fall competition: September 30th
- Winter competition: January 31st
Application Process
Applicants must apply online through STU-VIEW for International Centre scholarships and be enrolled full-time as an international student.
Award Selection
Scholarship recipients are selected by a committee representing various academic divisions at George Brown College. The committee’s decision is final and not subject to appeal. Only successful applicants will be notified via email.
