We are excited to share a new initiative from Algoma University, which will allow Indian students to enroll in undergraduate programs before having an approved visa.
This announcement is a huge step forward for international students aspiring to study in Canada. Students may enroll in online undergraduate programs before receiving an approved visa. If a student visa application is denied, Algoma University will provide a refund for the remainder of the tuition deposit (minus a $300 CND administration fee).
Students who are eligible for this initiative must provide proof that a visa application is in progress at the time of registration. If a visa application is denied, refunds will be limited to a specific timeframe (to be determined based on visa processing times) before the start of the fall 2020 semester.
Please Note: Post-Graduation Work Permit Program (PGWPP) eligibility WILL NOT BE impacted if a student’s Fall 2020 courses need to be held online due to COVID-19.
